Riva Arora Claims Delivery Agent Verbally Abused Her
While speaking to Hindustan Times, Riva Arora claimed that on April 26 a delivery agent, working with the famous app, delivered her order at 3:30 PM. Reflecting on their interaction, Riva stated that from the start, his tone was rude and inappropriate. The situation did not improve when she responded. The agent allegedly continued this behaviour even when her mother chimed in to de-escalate the situation. When her sister Muskan encountered him in the lift while he was leaving, the agent kept on speaking in inappropriate language despite being asked to stop. They felt that his behaviour had crossed a line and needed to be addressed seriously at that point. She mentioned that he was using inappropriate, crass, and disrespectful language without any provocations, alleging that it was not just a one-time remark as he kept on speaking in that manner. The actress claimed that they faced verbal harassment for around 30 to 40 minutes. The Uri: The Surgical Strike star stated that when he tried to leave the premises, they followed him downstairs and stopped him from getting away.

Mumbai Police Took The Necessary Action In This Matter
Riva Arora told the publication that they immediately called the Mumbai police, who promptly showed up and took the necessary action. She also filed a formal complaint with the delivery app. The actress candidly expressed that there should be a stronger accountability system and that agents should be trained in professionalism and communication as well. Riva stressed that it was not about generalising or targeting a profession, adding that speaking up is important to ensure that such incidents don’t happen to others.
