Rihanna shared a glimpse of her newborn in a sweet Instagram post where she is holding Rocki in her arms. Her daughter was wrapped in an all-pink bundle decorated with bows. The ‘Diamonds’ singer also shared her name and date of birth in the caption. The post caption read, “Rocki Irish Mayers, Sept 13 2025”
In a previous interview before her birth, A$AP Rocky spoke about wanting a daughter. “I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl. Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know. I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
Fans think that the name holds a special meaning for the family, as it may be a reference to A$AP Rocky’s own name and Rihanna’s father. Rihanna first debuted her baby bump at the 2025 MET Gala. The Fenty Beauty founder had also previously mentioned that her vision for motherhood included “three or four” children.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky started dating in 2021 after years of friendship. The couple recently hinted that they are already married, though no official announcement has been made yet. Earlier this year, rapper A$AP Rocky was found not guilty in a felony assault trial.
