During a recent interview with Faye D’Souza, Richa Chadha talked about paternity leave. She revealed that even though Ali Fazal had requested a paternity leave after their daughter’s birth, he did not receive much support. The response to his request was dismissive, where people suggested a sum of just one or two weeks of leave. It was an expected delay in Fazal’s shoot schedule that led to them handling it together. She said that his support was crucial during the overwhelming experience of becoming a new parent.
