SSR Case: SC Rejects CBI’s LOC Plea Against Rhea Chakraborty, Calls It A ‘Frivolous Petition’

The Supreme Court has finally dismissed CBI’s plea requesting LOC (Look Out Circulars against Rhea, her brother and her father. Read on to know more.
Supreme Court Dismisses CBI’s Plea
After the High Court dismissed the Central Bureau Investigation’s (CBI) plea to carry a LOC (Look-Out-Circular) against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother and her father Lt Colonel Indrajit Chakraborty. The CBI took the plea to the Supreme Court, however, they have returned empty-handed from the highest court too. As per reports, SC dismissed CBI’s plea for LOC. The request that was filed in August 2020 has finally been rejected by SC and that is quite a relief for Rhea Chakraborty. As per a report by NDTV, the SC bench also warned the CBI for filing frivolous petitions only because it involved a high-profile name.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation began when his family filed a complaint claiming that it was not a suicide. The case was later transferred to CBI. However, no arrests were made in the case.
On the work front, Rhea Chakraborty recently began her podcast after staying away from work for a long time. The first guest on her podcast titled Chapter 2 was Sushmita Sen. Even Aamir Khan had graced her show. For the unversed, Rhea Chakraborty made her film debut in Bollywood with Mere Dad Ki Maruti, and she has also worked in South Indian films.
