Reply 1988 is one of the most beloved K-dramas that has been produced in the industry. The show has become immortalised due to its heartwarming plot, beautiful cinematography, talented cast and nostalgic songs. The cast reunited for its tenth anniversary, and fans were delighted to see that they are still close to each other after all these years. The recent preview featured an emotional clip where actors Ko Kyung Pyo and Kim Sun Young began crying on seeing how much Kim Seol, who played baby Jin Joo in the series, had grown up.

Three episodes from the upcoming Reply 1988 reunion show are to be released on 19th December. A promotional preview was recently shared that teased what the cast has been up to, their dynamics and what the upcoming reunion show will be all about.

Kim Seol, the actress who played the role of Jin Joo, the youngest daughter of Seonyeong’s family and the younger sister of Seonu, had initially not been named in the cast lineup for the reunion. Hence, in the preview clip, everyone was shocked to see Kim Seol when she entered the filming set. As soon as Seol arrived, Ko Kyung Pyo and Kim Sun Young, who played Jinjoo’s brother and mother in the series, got emotional and even started tearing up to see her all grown up.
Along with the actors, even viewers of the Reply 1988 got very emotional. Many could not believe that 10 years had passed since the show concluded airing, and how much the cast had changed. They reminisced about the sweet moments by sharing sweet clips from the show with Baby Jin Joo.

The upcoming variety show Reply 1988 10th Anniversary on tvN will follow a two-day, one-night journey that the cast of the drama took to commemorate their tenth anniversary. Sung Dong Il, Lee Il Hwa, Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sung Kyun, Choi Moo Sung, Kim Sun Young, Yoo Jae Myung, Ryu Hye Young, Hyeri, Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, Park Bo Gum, among other actors, will be featured in the reunion special.
