However, sorry to burst your bubble but Ryu Jun-yeol may not join the special event. Here’s why!

During an episode of his YouTube show, Cheerful Mr Kyung Pyo, the actor visited a soba noodle restaurant that held sweet memories. So, he took a trip down memory lane and recalled visiting the restaurant with Reply 1988 co-stars like Park Bo Gum, Hyeri, and more. They used to gather there and bond over food and fun times.
So then the show’s production team asked if he still keeps in touch with his co-stars. In response, Go Kyung-pyo revealed that the group tries to meet at least once a year. He further also mentioned an upcoming reunion to mark the drama’s 10th anniversary, with even the director, Shin Won Ho, planning to attend. This news sent fans into a frenzy, as they thought of the beloved cast coming together.

As per OSEN, Egg is Coming stated that discussions are ongoing for special content to celebrate Reply 1988’s 10th anniversary, but the details are still not clear. In the report it was also mentioned that Hyeri is most probably attending the reunion. Just the thought of her meeting the cast made fans happy.

But, sadly, in the report it was also mentioned that Ryu Jun-yeol will most likely miss the event. And the reason behind his absence is because of his busy schedule filming a new Netflix movie, The Rat. Some fans even think that it’s also because of the controversial past with his ex-girlfriend Hyeri.
