And they believed if the rumours were true, and Raj Nidimoru was still married to his first wife, then she could drag him to court for ‘bigamy.’ They further explained, “So neither Sam nor Raj is calling it a wedding or marriage ceremony. This is done to exploit a legal loophole; if a court asks Raj, he can always say they went to a temple on 1st December and that he hasn’t married Sam. Going to an event or a temple with a woman isn’t illegal for a married man.”

The Redditor shared that this middle path is often suggested by lawyers for men who are desperate to get married for the second time. They also shared that one of their friends, who had been through a bad divorce, did the same and declared it only an ‘engagement’ until the divorce came through. This is being linked to Samantha and Raj’s situation, too, when they haven’t registered their wedding. Even Nidimoru’s sister, Sheetal’s long Instagram post called it a ‘gentle alignment’ when she could have called it a ‘marriage ceremony.’ Though many in the comment section opposed this theory, saying it wasn’t possible, many rumours online are saying the same.
