Fans of Red, White & Royal Blue can celebrate! Amazon MGM Studios has officially greenlit a sequel to the beloved romantic comedy film. Titled Red, White & Royal Wedding, the film will follow the next chapter in the love story between America’s First Son, Alex Claremont-Diaz, and Britain’s Prince Henry. Jamie Babbit, known for But I’m a Cheerleader and Only Murders in the Building will be directing the film. Read on to know more.

The initial movie, which hit the screens in 2023, turned out to be one of the largest hits for Amazon Prime Video. Set to the bestselling novel of Casey McQuiston, the movie depicted Alex and Henry’s enemies-to-lovers tale as their pretend friendship turned into a passionate, politically charged love story. With its engaging humour, swoon-inducing scenes, and LGBTQ+ representation, the film turned into a worldwide fan favourite.
The next instalment, Red, White & Royal Wedding, will allegedly follow what occurs after the first film, as Alex and Henry work through love, royal protocol, and media scrutiny as they plan their wedding.
