Her intimate scene in the famous series, The Family Man 2, was allegedly the last straw that irked the Akkineni family, and as per a source, Chay and his father, Nagarjuna, didn’t like Samantha’s ‘skin show’ on screen post their marriage. So when the series came out, it shocked him and his parents, and they shared their reservations about her bold scenes. After the actress refused to accept his mindset, it led to their divorce.

During an interview with Miss Malini, Samantha spoke about doing her famous ‘Oo Antava’ song in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa right during her separation. She said, “I was in the middle of all of the separation. The announcement came, and every friend of mine, every well-wisher, and my family were like ‘you sit at home, you will not do an item song now just after you announced a separation and you will say no to this’.”
