Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda surprised everyone by sharing pictures captured during their Mehndi and Pradhanam ceremonies. However, not all were in awe of the actress’s outfit. A section of people criticised Rashmika’s ghagra as its dupatta consisted of Goddess Lakshmi’s picture. Many saw it as disrespectful, while others didn’t find any problem with it; in fact, they praised the actress for her clothing choice.

As soon as Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda dropped their mehndi and Pradhanam ceremony pictures, chatter on social media erupted. A section of netizens didn’t like that Goddess Lakshmi’s picture was included on the Thamma star’s outfit. A person penned that we aren’t supposed to wear clothes that feature the pictures of gods on them. A user expressed that wrapping that fabric around the legs and hips is very disrespectful to God. Another penned, “God and goddess are not for your outfit.. one of the worst outfit.” However, defending the actress, a person shared that it was not controversial and the design on her ghagra is similar to many ancient goddess figures that have been hand-printed or woven on clothes. Others simply praised both the bride and the groom for their choice of clothing.
Their Mehndi And Pradhanam Outfit Details
For their Mehndi and Pradhanam ceremony, Rashmika Mandanna chose to go with an embellished multicoloured ghagra featuring Goddess Lakshmi’s picture and consisting of a beautiful off-shoulder corset top. On the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda wore a beautifully decorated jacket, a green V-neck traditional shirt and paired it with a blue dhoti. In case you don’t know, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on February 26 in Udaipur. It’s worth mentioning that both actors kept their relationship under wraps for many years before making it official on social media with their wedding pictures.
