The actor has partnered with Birla Studios to work on this trilogy. A source told the publication that Ranveer has been passionate about bringing Meluha to the big screen for a long time now. They stated that the acquisition of it happened recently, and the project is now officially under development. The insider stated that makers are looking at the franchise as a long-term cinematic universe, and the plan is to tell the story over 3 films. Further, it was shared that the writing work has already started, and the team is taking its time to develop the screenplay and world-building. The source added that the first part will go on floors in 2028.
