After Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar became a huge success, fans looked forward to seeing him in Farhan Akhtar helmed Don 3. However, many expressed disappointment after knowing that he exited the said upcoming project. However, according to a report, the actor might have to compensate muti crore amount for doing the unexpected action. Read on to know more details about the same.

As per a report published by Variety India, Don 3 film-helmer, Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani are seeking Rs. 40 crore compensation from Ranveer Singh as the production house incurred losses at the film’s pre-production stage. Ranveer’s response? It is claimed that he believes he is not liable to pay the said amount. An insider reportedly said that the actor alleged he left the project as he was not happy with the script. It was said that Ranveer kept on asking for the alterations and didn’t like the final draft read. Whereas Excel Entertainment alleged that they had green-lit the pre-production stage only after the Padmavat star said go ahead.

Further, the report alleged that Excel Entertainment has asked heads of departments if multiple teams working on the project to look for work outside. It was also revealed that Ranveer Singh reportedly had a meeting with the production house for almost 2 house but they didn’t reach an agreement. Now, the Producers Guild of India (PIG) is mediating between the two parties. Only time will tell if the legal case will brew between Ranveer and the production house.

As of now, the actor is gearing up for Dhurandhar 2, which will be released on March 19. As far as Don 3 goes, reports revealed that it is being offered to the OG star of the franchise, Shah Rukh Khan; however, no official statement about the same has been made in the media.
