Ranveer Singh Talks About Signing Don 3, Says “Hope I Can Make Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan Proud”

The mantle of being the next Don has now been passed on to Ranveer Singh. After Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, who have become synonymous with the Don film franchise, Ranveer has big shoes to fill in. Singh was confirmed to be playing the lead in Don 3 in an exciting announcement video shared by Farhan Akhtar. Ranveer Singh, who recently essayed the role of the rocking Rocky Randhawa in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, took to his Instagram to share adorable pictures of him from his childhood, and penned a lengthy note about how he has manifested his dream of playing Don in films.

Singh started his note by writing that he has been dreaming of doing this for a very long time. He further wrote that he fell in love with Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan’s Don films and they are the reasons he wanted to become an actor.

Writing about the pressure and responsibilities on his shoulders about starring in Don 3, Singh wrote, “I hope the audience gives me a chance and showers me with love, the way they have for numerous characters over the past so many years.” He also thanked Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for trusting him to do this. Ranveer Singh also addressed his fans and wrote that he will try his best to entertain them as Don in Don 3.
