Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s names have grabbed the headlines once again but this time it’s for rather concerning reasons. The couple have heightened security measures at their Mumbai residence after a report claimed that the Simmba star received a threatening message through WhatsApp, allegedly demanding crores. Dadar police station received an official letter from the couple’s housing complex that revealed about deploying armed forces outside their home.
Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone Up Security Measures
India Today’s report mentioned that Ranveer Singh received an extortion threat after which he heightened the security measures at his residence and also informed the Mumbai police about the same. The said letter sent to the police revealed that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had deployed six armed security personnel without “permission” of the Society Managing Committee, as per Hindustan Times. Additionally, one more uniformed police personnel has been stationed at the residence. On the other hand, the Committee is reportedly concerned about the safety and comfort of the other residents as those personnel were moving with arms in the lobby, gymnasium and kids’ area. They asked for verification from the police and clarification on whether they had been granted permission for the same. Now, the police have reportedly started the investigation into this situation and are trying to trace the person who sent the voice note.

As far as Ranveer Singh goes, he is currently gearing up for Dhurandhar 2, which is slated to be released on March 19. On the other hand, Deepika Padukone will be seen in AA22xA6, opposite Allu Arjun and in King opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Suhana Khan and more.
