India’s Got Latent Controversy: Ashish Chanchlani Moves SC To Quash Or Transfer FIR To Mumbai
India's Got Latent controversy started when Ranveer Allahbadia said a vulgar joke on the show. However, he later apologised for it on social media.

The Ranveer Allahbadia India’s Got Latent controversy case was taken up by the Supreme Court after the YouTuber submitted a plea to club all the FIRs against him. The FIRs also had Ashish Chanchlani’s name who was a part of the India’s Got Latent judge panel in the same episode. Ashish Chanchlani Moves To Court
An FIR was filed in Guwahati against India’s Got Latent creator Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Makhija and Ashish Chanchlani. However, Ashish Chanchlani has now moved to court to either quash the FIR against him or move it to a Mumbai court, as per the news reports. The FIR was against the show for promoting obscenity.
In the plea, Ashish Chanchlani has asked the court to either quash the FIR registered against him at Cyber PS Police Commissionerate, Guwahati Crime Branch, Assam or transfer it to Mumbai. As per the last update on this case, Ashish Chanchlani was granted interim bail after going through his anticipatory bail petition. As per Ashish Chanchlani’s lawyers, the YouTuber had not said anything vulgar on the show and the complaints were registered against the other judges on the show, as per the reports.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court also granted interim protection to Ranveer Allahbadia against any arrest. The SC also ordered the police to not register any more FIRs against the YouTuber and ordered him to not do any shows until further notice. The Supreme Court panel also bashed Ranveer Allahbadia for his vulgar joke on India’s Got Latent.

Ranveer Allabadia and Samay Raina have assured that they will cooperate with the authorities during the investigation.
