Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has been making headlines recently due to his controversial comment on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Even though the Internet personality apologised for his comment, the backlash on the internet and via celebs remains ongoing. In recent updates, it has been reported that Ranveer has lost around eight thousand followers on his social media accounts amid controversy and is likely to lose more.
Ranveer Allahbadia Loses Social Media Followers
According to a report by an influencer marketing platform Qoruz, Ranveer Allahbadia has lost around 4153 followers on his personal account with this name, and 4205 on another Instagram handle called BeerBiceps. The report also claimed that he is likely to lose his YouTube subscribers which would impact his brand deals. He has previously collaborated with brands like Spotify, Amazon Prime, and more.
Ranveer Allahbadia’s latest remarks on India’s Got Latent have drawn criticism. In a recent episode of the show, Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, allegedly asked a contestant a question about body parts that was inappropriate and offered to perform an immoral deed in exchange for Rs 2 lakh. When he asked the contentious question, “Would you join once to stop it forever or watch your parents have s*x every day for the rest of your life?” the outcry reached a peak.
Following this, a complaint was filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and other co-judges including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija. This FIR accuses them of promoting obscene content on the show invoking several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). While the episode has been removed, further probes still remain.
