Veteran actor Rani Mukerji is the mother of 10-year-old daughter Adira Chopra with her husband Aditya Chopra. During a recent chat, she opened up about how different her generation is from her daughter’s. She also got candid about the boundaries and restraints between the two generations, and even shared that her daughter scares her because she is fearless in her approach.
Rani Mukerji About Daughter Adira
During a chat with Zoom, Rani Mukerji shared how she consciously chose how she wanted to approach her daughter, Adira. She said that her approach as a parent had to be different since their generations were different. Reflecting on the same, he said, ” She is Gen Alpha, so she fires me, and I have to listen to her. Because every generation changes. I used to get slaps from my mom. I can’t expect to do that with her because she would slap me back.” Mukerji revealed how she was afraid of her daughter.
During the same conversation, the actor also revealed that after her father passed away, she would miss having his feedback on her work. Though now she felt as if God restored that balance by blessing her with Adira. Rani said that despite their age gap, she was extremely close to her and was very proud. Adira has watched Hichki, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Bunty Aur Babli, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, featuring her mother.

Rani also revealed that her daughter was strongly against seeing her in makeup. The actress revealed that her daughter dislikes her when she puts on makeup. She also stated that Adira informs her that when she wears cosmetics, she does not resemble her mother. She will next be seen in Mardaani 3.
