Rani Mukerji has been in the film industry for over two decades and yet she’s one of those personalities that her fans know little about. Having delivered some of the biggest blockbuster hits like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mujhse Dosti Karoge!, Hum Tum, Mardaani and the latest Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, she has chosen to keep her personal life private all throughout her acting career. Now, finally, Rani Mukerji decided that she will let her fans know about her in detail through a book she is writing. Yes, Rani is penning a memoir wherein she is going to write about all those aspects of her life that she kept hidden away from the limelight.

In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Rani Mukerji opened up about her work-in-progress memoir. She revealed that it was her PR team’s idea to write a book to document her 25-year-long journey in the industry. She added, “The whole idea was that I am not on social media and my fans don’t get to see my day-to-day life.” Rani Mukerji also said that the autobiography she is writing will also highlight the ‘trials and tribulations’ she underwent as a woman.

The 45-year-old actor also went on to say that she has spent her teenage years, her 20s, her 30s and her 40s in the industry and has grown through each decade. Elaborating more, Mukerji said, “It is quite an incredible journey being a woman and on top of that, being a working woman in films. There is so much I have to say and the book is the best way to share it all.”

Rani also talked about how her book will talk about her relationship with her husband. When asked by Anupama Chopra whether he will allow for it because of how fiercely he guards his personal space, Rani joked and said that he has no choice but to allow it!
We’re so excited about this book because it will likely present an unfiltered version of Rani Mukerji and her life.
