An alleged photograph featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita has been circulating on social media. It claims to be a “leaked” image from the pair’s upcoming production, Ramayana. However, many were sceptical about the truthfulness of this claim. Considering the clarity of the image, it is highly unlikely that it was actually a leaked photo. Recently, actor Aashiesh Sharrma took to social media to address the Ranbir-Sai image. Read all about it below.

Is Ranbir Kapoor And Sai Pallavi’s Photo As Ram And Sita A Leak From Ramayana’s Set?

There has been a lot of excitement about the upcoming Ramayana, directed by Nitish Tiwari. Apart from the casting, the music direction by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman has drawn attention to the film. When a photograph of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita, respectively, started doing the rounds, many were surprised.

While the image seemed cool, some individuals who had seen previous iterations of the epic on television noticed a lot of similarities. In particular, Kapoor’s look seemed very similar to Aashiesh Sharrma’s Lord Ram from Siya Ke Ram.

With conjecture floating around, the television actor took to social media to confirm what many had already guessed. The photograph was an AI-generated version. Sharma posted a photograph of himself with Madirakshi Mundle as Ram and Sita. Adding that the artificial intelligence did not remove his hair, the TV star clarified that Ranbir’s face was morphed onto his own in the viral image.

In recent news, the Ramayana film has pushed its first look launch from March 26, 2026, which is Ram Navami. The ongoing war in the Middle East prompted the production to postpone the date. The producers are yet to inform the media about the new date, but it is highly anticipated on all fronts.

Siya Ke Ram was a television serial that showed the well-known epic story from Sita’s perspective, and was widely appreciated and watched in 2015-16. It is available on Hotstar for streaming.
