Ramayana star Ranbir Kapoor recently opened up about his and Alia Bhatt’s proposal story on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, and we are obsessed. The actor recalled the story of how he popped the question at their favourite holiday destination, Masai Mara, on one knee while being surrounded by three lions, which left host Amitabh Bachchan stunned. The Ramayana team recently appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati, with Ravie Dubey, Nitish Tiwari, Sai Pallavi, and Namit Malhotra present. A promo also revealed Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s proposal story. Recalling the proposal story, he said that he had already told their guide to stop in the middle of the jungle and to click a picture of them as he gave her the ring. He also cheekily said that his wife loves taking pictures and posting them online, which is why he made sure there was proof. Kapoor further said that three big lions stood on the side as he got down on one knee in front of his “lioness” and asked her to marry him. The actor said that it was a wonderful moment and that he would never forget it.

For the unversed, the two started dating in 2018 and grew closer while working on the sets of Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukerji. Kapoor proposed to Bhatt in 2022 in Masai Mara. They then got married in the same year, in a small ceremony at their Mumbai house, which was attended by their close friends and family members. The two also welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022. On the professional front, Ranbir is gearing up for his upcoming film Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari, starring Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, Sunny Deol, and Yash in lead roles. It is scheduled to have a worldwide release in the theatres on November 5, 2026.
