Famous actor Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela recently welcomed twins, a baby boy and a girl, in January 2026, and fans are very happy for the couple. They also hosted an intimate naamkaran (naming) ceremony at their Hyderabad home, where they revealed that their twin babies have been named Shivram and Anveera Devi. Opening up about the meaning behind their twins’ names, Ram Charan highlighted how naming them was a personal and spiritual decision for them. He further added, “Naming them was a deeply personal and spiritual decision for both of us. Upasana and I discussed it extensively, but our parents were very much part of the journey. In our culture, elders bring wisdom and blessings, so their presence in that process meant a lot to us.”
Their son’s name, Shivram, is rooted in two eternal ideals, Lord Shiva and Lord Rama, symbolising strength balanced with restraint, and devotion guided by righteousness. The name also honours the father’s birth name, Shiv Shankar Vara Prasad, carrying forward a sense of lineage and gratitude. Their daughter’s name, Anveera Devi, embodies boundless courage and divine feminine power. ‘Veera’ stands for bravery, while ‘An ’ expands it into something limitless. The inclusion of ‘Devi’ is deliberate, reflecting the belief that strength and grace can exist together.

It was recently revealed that Ram and Upasana hired an astrologer to schedule the twins’ births and even dispatched an alchemist to pray at a temple before the babies were born. Ram married Upasana, the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity, in June 2012 after an engagement ceremony in December 2011. Before dating and marrying, the pair had been friends for many years. Klin Kaara, the couple’s first daughter, was born in June 2023.
