Rakhi Sawant On Her Childhood
During a chat with Humans Of Bombay, Rakhi Sawant spoke about her childhood and called it ‘torturous.’ She said that she hated her childhood as she had to do odd jobs to finance her family. “Ab mere maa baap nahi rahe, mere bhai behen, meri family poori dur ho gayi hai mujhse. Sabko dur kar diya. Ab mujhe raat raat bhar kahi naachna nahi padega, mujhe paise paane ke liye kisi ke neeche jhukna nahi padega. Maa ke hospitalon ke bill bharne ke liye bheek nahi maangni padegi,” she stated.

During the same interaction, Rakhi shared that she has often felt like the family scapegoat, taking on every responsibility that came her way. From paying for her mother’s medical treatments to funding her siblings’ education and weddings, she believes she has been the one holding everything together financially. She likened her life to that of an ATM card, constantly used by those around her. According to her, this pattern began in childhood with her family depending on her, and later continued into her marriage, where she felt similarly taken for granted.
