The Met Gala 2025 was quite the talk of the town a few days back. Mostly because many of the Indian celebrities like SRK, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, among others, walked the red carpet this year. However, some important discussions have not stopped, and one of them is a popular jewellery brand not giving the singer their precious piece from the collection. Singer and rapper Raja Kumari has strongly reacted to this, and she slammed the brand for selective inclusion. Read on to know more.
What Did Raja Kumari Say?
Singer and Rapper, Raja Kumari, recently shared her thoughts on Cartier denying Diljit Dosanjh’s request to wear one of their exquisite and rare neckpieces. The rapper slammed the jewellery brand and said that they had given the same Patiala necklace to a YouTuber just two years back. Raja Kumar expressed her anger over this and called it “performative inclusion”. However, Raja Kumar firmly stated that despite this ignorance from the West, South Asian artists are still pushing and making a place for themselves. During the interview with Midday, the rapper also showed confidence in how there were more South Asian stories and songs coming to the forefront.

For the unversed, Diljit Dosanjh gave a tribute to the Maharaj of Patiala with his unique look on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet. The singer also recreated a version of the necklace and turned heads with his extraordinary look.
