Rahul Banerjee’s death has truly shocked many people across the Indian film industry. The actor allegedly died by drowning while filming Bholebaba Paar Karega at Talsari Beach. After his death, several actors, including the members of the West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists’ Forum, protested, asking for justice for the late actor. Adding to this, his wife Priyanka Satjher filed a complaint with the Odisha police. The police reportedly stated that they registered an FIR after her complaint.

Priyanka Sarkar Police Complaint Details 

As per a report by Hindustan Times, Rahul Banerjee’s wife, Priyanka Sarkar, filed a complaint on Saturday night and asked for an investigation into his shocking death. Authorities told the Press Trust Of India that they will investigate from every angle, which also includes any criminal conspiracy to the incident, and evidence will be gathered before reaching a conclusion. 

It’s worth noting that the West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists’ Forum has filed an FIR at the Regent Park Police Station in Kolkata against the Bholebaba Paar Karega producers, asking for a fair and transparent investigation.

Their Statement

The West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists’ Forum’s statement reportedly mentioned that on March 29, while shooting for the above-mentioned show at Talsari beach, their colleague, who was also a forum member, actor Rahul Banerjee, tragically passed away due to accidental drowning. They added that the forum, on behalf of its members, sought legal advice to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. The members further mentioned that they had sent a formal letter to the production house on April 1, asking for clarification. However, the response received on April 2 was unsatisfactory and inadequate. The statement added that since then, many have also expressed multiple concerns and opinions on social media regarding the tragedy.
