Rahul Banerjee Death: WB Artists’ Forum Files FIR Against Producers In Presence Of Actor’s Wife
A police complaint has reportedly been filed against the Bholebaba Paar Karega producers after Rahul Banerjee’s death.
Ever since the news about Bengali actor Rahul Banerjee’s death surfaced online, it has sent shockwaves across the Indian film industry. The actor reportedly passed away after he drowned at the Talsari beach while shooting for the Bholebaba Paar Karega. This unfortunate incident happened on March 29. Now, actors and the West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists’ Forum members protested and lodged an FIR against the project’s producers. Know all about the same below!
Fair Investigation Demanded Into Rahul Banerjee’s Case
According to PTI, West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists’ Forum members, including Prosenjit Chatterjee and Santilal Mukherjee, told the media outside the police station that their complaint asked for a fair and transparent investigation into the Talsari beach incident that happened with Rahul Banerjee. A forum member stated that they want to know about the actual truth and exact circumstances. The late actor’s wife, Priyanka Sarkar, was also present at the location; however, she chose not to interact with the media.
The forum’s statement reportedly mentioned on Friday night that on March 29, while shooting for the said show at Talsari beach, their colleague, who was also a forum member, actor Rahul Banerjee, tragically died due to accidental drowning. They added that the forum, on behalf of its members, sought legal advice to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy. They added that they had sent a formal letter to the production house on April 1, asking for clarification. However, the response received the next day was unsatisfactory and inadequate, according to them. The statement mentioned that since then, people have also expressed multiple concerns and opinions on social media regarding the incident.

According to the reports, members of the Bengali film industry held a procession from Technicians’ Studio to Radha Studio during which they held placards asking for justice for Rahul Banerjee. This included celebrities, including Aparna Sen, Srijit Mukherjee, Anjan Dutt, Kaushik Ganguly, Kaushik Sen, Riddhi Sen and more.
