The death of Bengali actor Rahul Banerjee has truly sent shockwaves across the nation. The actor was in the middle of the shoot at the Talsari Beach of the project titled Bhole Baba Paar Karega, during which he fell into a pit and unfortunately passed away. What Did SP Gayatri Pradhan Say?
According to ANI, SP Gayatri Pradhan mentioned that the tragedy happened around 5:30 pm. She stated that Rahul Banerjee and actress Sweta Mishra were shooting at Talsari Beach during which he fell into a pit while shooting a dance sequence in the water. The SP mentioned that he was then rescued and taken to Digha hospital, where he was declared dead, while Misra is reported to be in a stable condition. She added that the production crew did not take the required permission for the shoot. She added that the actor’s body will be handed over after the formalities have been completed.

What Did Mamata Banerjee say?
As per the reports, CM Mamata Banerjee reportedly expressed her shock and mentioned being deeply saddened to hear the news about Rahul Banerjee’s death. The politician further said that she was not able to comprehend what exactly happened. Mamata Banerjee revealed that the late actor was one of her favourite stars and a person she admired. She extended her heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and countless admirers. It’s worth noting that yesterday, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) reportedly released a statement asking for the family of the actor to be compensated Rs. 1 crore and demanding that strict action be taken against the producers.
