Pushpa 2‘s Allu Arjun Receives Backlash

On Friday, December 7, Pushpa 2: The Rule star Allu Arjun uploaded a 3-minute-long video speaking about the unfortunate incident that happened at the premiere. He said,” In the last 20 years, I have been to the theatres for almost every film; something like this has never happened. We were very disappointed and shocked, none of us felt like celebrating.”

Internet didn’t take this video well and questioned Allu Arjun on why he never met the family or even apologised to them. One user commented, “I am shocked that he expressed condolences and offered monetary help but didn’t apologise. I was waiting for an apology in the whole video. This is really not good on his part.”

One X (Formerly Twitter) user chastised the actor for sharing the footage 48 hours after the incident and after a case had been made against him, noting that the film appeared to be professionally prepared. “After 48 hours of the incident, He came up wearing a Promotional hoodie of his film, Good makeup, Proper lighting, Professional colour grading, Background music, And NO APOLOGY,” it said.

One dissatisfied user wrote, “Records are transient, but the character is permanent! You would have done it after the incident occurred, but instead, you dispatched your team to the hospital after the victim filed a report and stayed up all night exploding crackers. You lost yourself as a human, @alluarjun.”

The film’s producers, Mythri Movie Makers and Rashmika Mandanna, were devastated when they learned of the news. Telangana’s cinematography minister, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, has announced that benefit shows will no longer be permitted.
