As per a report by Mid-Day, the Producers Guild of India will likely meet both Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar to mediate this matter by the end of February. A senior member of PGI stated that no formal complaint was filed before the general body and both sides will be heard informally. A source reportedly stated that Ranveer and Farhan would be given a 10-day window to attempt a mutual resolution following the informal meeting. However, if they fail to resolve, the body will take the matter to the Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA), which would ensure that both the artists’ and the producer’s interests are balanced.

Report suggests that the case, where Farhan Akhtar’s production banner reportedly asked Ranveer Singh for compensation for losses related to pre-production and more, is likely to serve as the main reference point in policy reform discussions about rising production budgets. The source reportedly stated that the producers are bearing disproportionate financial pressures today because of expanding entourage. They also added, “Seeing that stars’ entourages remain bloated, as evident from this case,” it’s better that guidelines are placed.
As far as Ranveer Singh’s other upcoming project goes, he will star in a zombie thriller titled Pralay. Additionally, he will also be seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, releasing on March 19.
