Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is currently under police custody and faces some serious allegations of r*pe and s*xual harassment. The retrial happened at the New York Court. After the court procedure, Weinstein did an in-person camera interview. During the interaction, the accused claimed that he was not guilty of the crimes and also swore on God that he had not done any wrong. Read on to know more.
What Did Harvey Weinstein Say?
Former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein faces many #MeToo accusations, and this was the first time that he came before the camera to make his official statements. During the interview, Harvey Weinstein said that he had not committed any crimes and that he was not guilty. He further added that he was wrongfully being accused of the crimes and stated that the justice had to know the difference between immoral and illegal.
Harvey Weinstein did this interview with journalist Candace Owens. During the interview, he also admitted to cheating his wife and apologised for it. However, he maintained that he was wrongfully convicted and should get a fair chance to prove himself.
Harvey Weinstein has also pleaded not guilty before the court. The last victim to record her statement before the court during the retrial was a former actor, Jessica Mann. She alleged serious r*pe charges against him and also claimed that he took erectile shots before r*ping her. The other two victims also gave their statements, one is an assistant director and the other is a former teen model.
