An exclusive report by People confirms that Priyanka Chopra will not be associated with her NY restaurant Sona. PC’s representative confirmed this news to the portal and said that the actress has stepped away from this partnership. They also said on Priyanka’s behalf that she has always tried to bring Indian culture to the forefront through the projects she picks or the dishes that were served at Sona.
One of the major reasons why Priyanka Chopra has decided to step away from Sona is because she wants to ‘broaden her ambitions on the global scale’. Well those wondering about the fate of the restaurant, don’t worry. The restaurant will still be run and managed by Maneesh K Goyal, who is the co-founder of the eatery alongside Priyanka. Goyal said to the aforementioned portal that his dream of working with the Citadel actress has come true, and also that he is grateful for her support.

The name, Sona, was suggested by Priyanka Chopra’s husband, Nick Jonas. The decor and yummy food dishes had people thronging to the restaurant. Hearing this news has left people heartbroken who have shared many fond memories of enjoying at Sona.
