Priyanka Chopra Reveals She Was Unexpectedly Replaced From Film After Signing Contract! Shocking

Priyanka Chopra recalled an incident when an actor told her that she had been replaced from an upcoming film.

Priyanka Chopra is one of the most successful actresses in both Bollywood and Hollywood. But she has had her own share of setbacks and heartbreaks, which also includes films being taken away from her. Talking about the same at the Harvard Business School, the actress revealed how a film was unexpectedly snatched away from her after she signed the contract. Priyanka Chopra Recalls Being Replaced In A Film

During an event at Harvard Business School, Priyanka Chopra revisited an incident that happened when she was working on Salaam-E-Ishq. She revealed that a male co-star paid a visit to the set of the said film ahead of their upcoming project’s shoot. He told her that the director gave her the movie by mistake and it was supposed to go to another actress. He then assured her they’d do a film together and asked her not to worry about it. The actor told Priyanka that he wanted to tell the news himself. Sharing her reaction, the Barfi star stated that her heart was crushed and she thought to herself, “I signed a contract. Like, what do you mean?”

Priyanka Chopra On Celebrities Who Paved The Way For Her In Hollywood

During the same event,  Priyanka Chopra expressed her belief that she stood on the shoulders of amazing artists and talents that came before her. The actress credited Aishwarya Rai and called her an “icon.” She also named Irrfan Khan and Mindy Kaling. Talking about these figures, Priyanka added that she was able to push the door open and stand up for what she believed in because these celebrities did what they did.

In case you didn’t know, Aishwarya Rai made waves in Hollywood by starring in projects titled Bride & Prejudice, The Mistress of Spices and The Pink Panther 2. Irrfan Khan also made a name for himself by featuring in Jurassic World, Life of Pi, The Namesake and more. As far as Mindy Kaling goes, she cemented her name in Hollywood by becoming a successful actress, writer and producer.
