Celebs often undergo surgeries to get their features enhanced. And more often than not we have heard cases of botched surgery cases that put the careers at stake for these celebs. One such celebrity who thought she was going to lose her career because of a surgery gone wrong is Priyanka Chopra. In a recent interview, the Citadel star opened up about how she got a nose job done which made her face look ‘completely different’, and how because of this incident, she slipped into depression.
Priyanka Chopra appeared on The Howard Stern Show and revealed things about her nose surgery. Reportedly, she said that she was advised by a doctor to get a polyp (a non-cancerous growth) from her nasal cavity removed. But after she underwent the surgery, it ended up making her face look very different. Priyanka Chopra said that she was ‘deeply depressed’ after this surgery.
But it was her dad, Dr Ashok Chopra, who suggested that Priyanka get a corrective surgery done. As per reports, the actress went on to reveal that she was ‘terrified’ of going under the knife again but she said that her father encouraged her. She said he helped her build her confidence back.
The Citadel star also went on to reveal how the polyp removal surgery massively affected her career and caused her to lose out on three films. Priyanka Chopra revealed that she thought her career was over before it even began. But it was director Anil Sharma who came to her rescue by offering her a supportive character in his film.
