Priyanka Chopra Reveals Why Her Mom Madhu Grabbed A Cab Driver By Neck
During her conversation with ANI, Priyanka Chopra revealed that this frightening confrontation happened when she and her mother, Madhu Chopra, were staying at a hotel in Delhi and at the time she must have been 11 years old. The actress revealed that suddenly she sees her mother holding the throat of the cab driver. Adding more context to the story, Priyanka shared that he had apparently taken a turn, calling it a “shortcut” that her mom didn’t recognise. The actress also revealed that it was just her and her mother in the car and she grabbed his neck from the back and asked him to go back to the main road.
It was also revealed that Madhu Chopra slapped the driver after which she asked him to go back on the main road. She candidly recalled never seeing that side of Madhu Chopra. Priyanka further mentioned being uncertain of how her mother would have reacted if she were alone, adding that she was shaking when they got back to the hotel.

Priyanka Chopra is currently busy promoting her new movie, The Bluff, with Karl Urban. The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on February 25. Additionally, Priyanka will also be seen in Varanasi, helmed by SS Rajamouli. The movie, which will be out in 2027, also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
