Priyanka Chopra’s Mom Madhu Chopra Says Neoptism Doesn’t Last Unless Someone Is Talented. Point Toh Solid Hai!

Hollywood actor Priyanka Chopra is known for always speaking her mind about every issue and never shying away from the truth and her mother, Madhu Chopra is no different. In a recent conversation, the Citadel actor’s mother said that nepotism is a term coined by frustrated people that undeserving people get thrown out and nepotism doesn’t last much.

Madhu Chopra On Nepotism

During a recent conversation with the YouTube channel Breaking Stereotypes, Priyanka Chopra’s mother said that if one brings talent and merit, then they shouldn’t talk about nepotism. She said, “It has been going on for generations in every industry. You would want to give the same opportunities to those you love. Every parent thinks that way.” She added that nepotism doesn’t last if one doesn’t have talent and that no one would throw money on an actor just because they are someone’s son/ daughter if they don’t have talent. She concluded by saying that nepotism is something frustrated people say when don’t see a situation like this.

Priyanka Chopra’s Nepotism Comment

During an interview with Dax Shepherd, Priyanka Chopra said that she was worried about her career after giving several flop films in 2008 since she wasn’t a nepo baby. She revealed that her mother Madhu Chopra was worried about her career after that and suggested she pick something to sustain herself. Her mother also pointed out that she was 30 at that time and that everyone preferred working with 20-year-old girls.

She revealed that she was terrified when those 6 films didn’t do well because she didn’t have that kind of support in Bollywood. She said that there are actors who come from a family of multi-generational actors who would come in and get multiple opportunities. She concluded by saying, “You don’t have your uncle making a new movie for you just because your last one tanked.”
