A Look Through Priyanka Chopra’s “Long But Great Week” At The UNGA As The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Ambassador

The world is dealing with many problems but most of us are quite ignorant about them. We are so engrossed in living our lives that contributing towards the greater good even with the minimum effort hardy crosses our mind, or maybe it does. But if we really want to do something, no matter how busy our schedules are, we still can. One such role model in this case for me is definitely Priyanka Chopra. We have all seen her skills as an actor and singer, but what really adds to her personality, at least for me is her work towards the education of underprivileged children. You might know that Priyanka is the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and she recently attended the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as the representative. It was a fruitful meeting for the actress and as it has now come to an end, Priyanka has shared with us a short video to take us through her days at the UNGA

Priyanka Chopra had a week-long schedule fixed for the UNGA conferences and meets. Her first day started on September 19, when she attended the “Annual Sustainable Goals Development Moments”. In the video Priyanka shared, we can see a glimpse of all the important activists who spoke on the podium. They were Amanda Gorman, Nomzamo Mbatha, Malala Yousafzai, and Priyanka Chopra herself. The same day, Priyanka Chopra also presented herself at the “Transforming Education Summit”, in which the United States Secretary Of Education, Miguel Cardona gave a speech. Even Priyanka Chopra highlighted the right and importance of education for children.

On September 21st, the actress attended another important event which was “First Thing First: Investing In Early Childhood And Parenting Emergencies”. In the video, we can see Priyanka giving her speech and also interacting with the other dignitaries present at the conference. To go to her next conference on the same day, Priyanka Chopra decided to ditch her car, and take a metro instead. She was on time for her “Global Fund Pledging Conference”, in which the actress highlighted that the Global Fund Partnership has saved 50 million lives in the past 20 years, just because of the “ bold action”.  Priyanka had a really long day because she also addressed the “Forbes 400 Summit On Philanthropy”. In this meeting, the UNICEF representative talked about how we should be responsible towards society and that just leading a life as an individual will not really take us a long way.

September 23, Priyanka’s first event was all about climate change. She attended the “Creators For Climate Action”. It was an interactive session. She then went on to rehearse for the performance at the Global Citizen Festival NYC and clearly she was enjoying the whole process.

September 24, the final day for the showdown. Taking on to the global stage, where Priyanka and other women activists raised their voices for an equal and just society for all women.

The hard work and dedication needed to serve society were clearly visible in Priyanka Chopra. And I guess this is something that should be great learning for all of us. The world does need a collection approach.
