Priyanka Chopra recently revealed the stressful and challenging time she and her husband, Nick Jonas went through after their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas’ premature birth. Making the situation more intense, the actress revealed that they were forced to announce her birth despite not being ready for it. Priyanka Chopra On Being Forced To Announce Malti’s Birth

While speaking with Jay Shetty on his podcast, Priyanka Chopra recalled the traumatic time she and her husband faced after their daughter Malti’s premature birth. She revealed that they went with her to the NICU and one of them was allowed at a time. The actress said that the little one cried the first time, which was like a “cat.” The Barfi family stated that although their family members flew to support her, the pair was mostly in the hospital. Further, Priyanka mentioned that they were kind of forced to announce Malti’s birth after a media leak threatened to publish news within hours. The actress shared that they weren’t ready, as they didn’t know what would happen with their daughter or how she would be.

Talking about the things they did to help Malti, Priyanka revealed that Nick would sing to her on his guitar. She also recalled having a little iPod that played all her mantras softly all day inside her crib. The Heads Of All State star shared that their child was very desired, treasured, and very coveted, adding that the initial months after her birth needed their full attention.

When Was Malti Born?

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ daughter, Malti, was born in January 2022 via surrogacy. The couple made this addition to the family after getting married in a dual (Hindu and Christian) wedding ceremony in 2018. As far as her work front goes, she was last seen in The Bluff with Karl Urban. She will now be seen in Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli.
