Priya Sachdev Denies Hiding Assets, Alleges Sunjar Kapur’s Mother Continues To Draw 21.5 Lakh Rupees Monthly

The legal battle to claim the vast estate of late industrialist Sunjar Kapur has been intensified. During a recent court hearing, Sunjay’s widow, Priya Sachdev, hit back at her mother-in-law, Rani Kapur. Refuting Rani’s claims, Priya said that she continues to withdraw over 21 lakh rupees from the company and also has her personal expenses covered by them, the same way it used to be when Sunjay was alive. Priya Sachdev Refutes Sunjay Kapur’s Mother Rani Kapur’s Claims

On Wednesday, a hearing was held in the Delhi High Court to discuss the latest developments in the case filed by Karisma Kapoor’s children, who alleged that Priya fabricated their father’s will. During the hearing, Priya’s legal counsel responded to the accusation made by Rani Kapur that Priya concealed the true extent of Sunjay Kapur’s will. Rani’s lawyers had also claimed that Priya withheld important financial details from the court and suggested that funds might have been transferred abroad.

Priya Sachdev’s lawyer slammed these allegations made by Sunjay’s mother, saying that he has filed a detailed list of assets and every transaction is in that list; no money has been moved abroad. He also termed the allegations as baseless and reckless.

Priya Sachdev’s legal team also spoke about Rani’s allegation that Sunjay was getting a salary of 60 crore rupees. They refuted these claims by saying that Sunjay received a salary of 10 crore rupees when he was a director in AIPLO for the financial year of 2023-2024. “Out of that, a TDS of 23.5 crore rupees was deducted, and he got 36.5 crore rupees in hand. Out of that 28.5 crore rupees was spent on the purchase of immovable assets, properties in London,” stated the lawyer.

They also claimed that Rani Kapur continues to draw money from Sunjay’s company, Sona Comstar’s holding firm AIPL. Priya’s lawyer argued that Rani receives 21.5 lakh rupees per month from the company, and all her personal expenses are also continued to be paid, just like when Sunjay was alive.
