Exclusive: Priya Bapat On Questions About Pregnancy: “This Is Coming From Love, I Don’t…”

Following marriage, female actors are often asked about their plans for having children or becoming mothers. This constant questioning can be overwhelming and irritating, as it puts their personal lives under public scrutiny. Talking about the same, in a recent interview, actor Priya Bapat opened up about how she deals with constant questions about motherhood and pregnancy. It’s time to stop!

Priya Bapat On Constant Interrogation Regarding Pregnancy And Motherhood

In an exclusive interview with Hauterrfly, Priya Bapat revealed the way she deals with constant questions about pregnancy and embracing motherhood! Priya Bapat said, “Honestly, I have stopped answering about that.” It makes sense! Asking questions about an actor’s private life is weird and unnecessary. However, some journalists forget that and cross the line. Priya Bapat further added, “There was a time when I used to get overwhelmed and kind of irritated also with these questions. Like, who are you to ask me? But, later as I grew older I realised that as I’ve been married for 13 years now, so this question starts right after the first years of marriage.”

Furthermore, she added, “Like, very rarely, I got these questions from my family but fans and everybody around me were asking me these questions. And not my parents, once they knew what would be my stand on this, they kept quiet. But, now I have understood and reached the stage where I’ve accepted that people love Umesh and me as a couple. They adore us and all this is coming from love. I don’t get irritated now and just tell them if I want to, I will and if I don’t want to, I won’t! But it’s okay I’ve learnt a way to calm myself down, instead of going out and telling people not to ask me this.”
