Pritam Reacts To Plagiarism Accusations Against BLACKPINK’s Jennie
Pritam has finally broken his silence on the ongoing controversy of accusations against BLACKPINK’s Jennie for plagiarising his Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani song. The music composer took to his social media handle to share a long note addressing the controversy. He wrote that Jennie and Rani rhyme together, and therefore, the use of either of them in a song doesn’t lead to copying. Pritam further defended that such minor similarities can happen in music and rhyming. Pritam also urged the audience to look at the bigger picture instead of pointing out little details and stated that no artist tries to consciously copy others. The music composer also asked people to take note of the efforts that go behind creating music.
Pritam asked people to celebrate a musician and an artist instead of breaking them down through such criticism. He also wished BLACKPINK’s Jennie for her upcoming album.
Many fans and followers of Pritam supported his response to the ongoing controversy and agreed with him. They were of the opinion that he had handled the situation with a matured response.
