The IPL fever never goes down and rightly so. Well, the current season has fans and celebrity team owners excited as the final match comes closer to the due date. Entering the finale this year are Rajat Patidar led–Royal Challengers Bangalore and Shreyas Iyer led–Punjab Kings. After a heated semi-final between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Punjab Kings secured a spot in the finals. This victory comes after a decade of playing IPL matches, which clearly has the team’s co-owner Preity Zinta over the moon.

In a heartfelt post shared on her Instagram handle, Zinta exhibited a series of lovely pictures from the match, featuring Punjab Kings’ captain Shreyas Iyer and some of the team’s key players including Yuzvendra Chahal. With that, she shared a caption that read–”Wow what a win! Punjabi aa gaye oye,” a line made popular by Punjabi singer/actor Diljit Dosanjh. The actress has never missed a match when it comes to her team. From dressing up in salwar kameez to cheering and sharing pictures with the team players, she’s always been in buzz. Post the match, the dimple queen had the internet gushing for her viral wink.

For the unversed, the qualifier 2 was an exciting win for the Red Army with Captain Iyer playing a crucial role. Playing against Mumbai Indians, the team worked hard and finally got into the finals. The celebrations followed post the match in the dressing room, where Iyer cut a cake with Punjab Kings’ co-owner Ness Wadia to celebrate the team’s second IPL final appearance.

The final match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). A new trophy holder will be seen this year indeed.
