Preity Zinta’s Wink Steals The Show After PBKS Defeats MI In A Superb Match. Check It Out!

The Punjab Kings had a superb win against the Mumbai Indians last night, and the owner, Preity Zinta, couldn’t hold her excitement! The team set a final date with Royal Challengers Bengaluru as Shreyas Iyer slammed the winning runs. Zinta and co-owner Ness Wadia celebrated in the stands by jumping with their hands in the air. The actress then came to the field and hugged Iyer and even winked at a PBKS star during the presentation.

Preity Zinta Enjoys PBKS Win

Skipper Shreyas Iyer scored an incredible unbeaten 87 to lead Punjab Kings to a five-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 on Sunday, and to the IPL final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on June 3, guaranteeing the league would have a new champion. This will be PBKS’s first title clash since 2014. After Mumbai scored more than 200 runs, Punjab needed someone to play with poise and purpose, and they found the best player in their ranks.

However, Iyer and PBKS will be grateful to the plucky Nehal Wadhera for taking advantage of two reprieves to score a vital 48 off 29 balls and add 84 runs for the fourth wicket alongside his captain. Naman Dhir misread a catch off Mitchell Santner at deep midwicket, allowing a four in the ninth over, while Boult dropped a ball at fine-leg off Pandya in the tenth over, with Wadhera on 13.

But the star of the show was Iyer, who casually guided the PBKS’s hunt. Josh Inglis (38 off 21 balls, 5x4s, 2×6) also contributed early on, following Prahsimran Singh’s (6) loss to Boult (1/38) and Priyansh Arya (20). In the sixth over, Inglis went after Jasprit Bumrah, hitting two sixes and fours for 20 runs.

Bumrah’s final 4-0-40-0 was a fair picture of MI’s troubles with the ball that night. However, the tables reversed in the 13th over, when pacer Reece Topley sent three deliveries inside Iyer’s hitting arc, and the batter despatched each of them into the bleachers, signifying Punjab’s momentum.
