Actor Parvathy Thiruvothu, known for her outspoken nature, opened up about the glorification of violence, alpha males and young actors in the Malayalam industry. She stated that while the older generation was involved in a patriarchal system that supported misogyny, some younger actors feel frustrated for different reasons. They are aware of the current situation, and some feel upset because they don’t enjoy the same benefits that the older generation had.

Furthermore, on being asked about the support for women in the industry. Parvathy stated that the current generation’s attitude is troubling. She stated that the Malayalam film industry is undergoing changes, yet many big-budget films still promote hyper-masculinity and misogyny. She also talked about how these films try to bring back outdated ideas of alpha males and old views on women.
