Korean drama lovers have a big reason to feel excited. In 2027, Disney+ will release a brand new crime-action drama called Born Guilty. The show stars popular actors Park Seo Joon, Um Tae Goo, and Jo Hye Joo in roles and is based on a popular webtoon. The story takes place in the lawless streets of a city during the 1980s redevelopment boom. It is a mix of dark noir vibes with fast-paced action and high-stakes survival.

The drama follows two determined men who take huge risks to change their difficult lives. Park Seo Joon plays Paengi, a bold and dangerous villain who captures the wild spirit of that time. Um Tae Goo steps into the role of Saengdak, a street-smart gang member from the North Gang and Jo Hye Joo plays Bok Hee, Paengi’s first love and an important figure in the drug world.

Directed by Hong Won Chan, during the first script reading, the three lead actors showed strong energy and quickly got into their characters.

As reported by Soompi, Park Seo Joon said the role was the kind of character and story he had been hoping for as an actor. He felt really excited to show an entirely new and powerful side of himself through Paengi. Um Tae Goo shared that the script felt fun because of its wide variety of characters. He admitted feeling a bit nervous but also very eager to start filming.
