During a chat on Paras Chhabra’s podcast, Parag Tyagi claimed that someone performed black magic on his wife, Shefali Jariwala, before her sudden death. He said, “Many people don’t believe in these things, but I strongly do. I don’t just feel it, I know it has happened. Where there is God, there is also evil.” He mentioned how people were more affected by someone else’s happiness, and though he wasn’t sure about who did it, he was definite that black magic happened.
He further mentioned that he had felt it multiple times, and that this time things felt heavier. Tyagi said that whenever he sat in devotion, he could sense something was wrong and that just by touching Shefali, he could understand that things were not right, and that he had increased his prayers. For the unversed, Jariwala shot to fame with her appearance in the iconic remix of ‘Kaanta Laga.’

She passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42, and though she was rushed to the hospital by her husband, she was declared dead on arrival. Several accounts stated that she died after taking anti-ageing drugs on an empty stomach. But Parag Tyagi called this ‘half-backed information’ and said that she had kept a fast that day but had food while performing the pooja, and was not hungry. The actress also appeared on shows like Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye.
