Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, featuring Ranveer Singh, is gathering massive praise from the audience. The film is based on real events, but has its fictional terms, and has been winning major success at the box office, with people excited for the second part. But now, a Pakistani actress has come forward and claimed that she was cast in the film first, but eventually backed out due to its anti-Pakistani theme. Read to know more here.
Hira Soomro In Dhurandhar
It is important to note that Dhurandhar is claimed to be ‘anti-terror’ and not ‘anti-Pakistani.’ The claims of the Pakistani actress, Hira Somroo, are being questioned after she dropped a new post wherein she was seen posing with Ranveer Singh. In the caption, she claimed that she was the one to leave the film as she didn’t want to associate with an anti-Pak film. However, the pictures shared by her looked AI-generated, with people questioning her claims to have been cast in the film.
Hira Soomro’s statement was quickly refuted by netizens, who stated that the movie is anti-terrorism rather than anti-Pakistani. Along with that, netizens questioned the defects in the photographs Hira shared, which clearly indicated that they were primarily AI-generated.

Hira Soomro’s IMDb page states that she was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, leaving the question of whether she is Pakistani unresolved. She has reportedly appeared in various Pakistani television shows, including Tere Bin, Khuda Aur Mohabbat, and Tere Mere Sapnay, among others. To clarify, the Dhurandhar team has not responded to the chatter; therefore, it is unclear whether she was cast in the film for genuine reasons or not.
