In a horrifying turn of events from Karachi, it has been established that Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar Ali passed away around nine months ago, although her corpse was discovered only recently. As reported by police and forensic authorities, the actress is said to have died in October 2024 but her body was recovered just a few days ago from her apartment, in an advanced state of decay.
Humaira Asghar Had Died 9 Months Ago
Karachi Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed, who performed the post-mortem, confirmed the time of death. Deputy Inspector General of Police Syed Asad Raza also told Arab News that the last activity on Humaira’s phone, where a call was made, was in October last year.
More probing showed that neighbours had last seen her sometime in September or October 2024. Since the only other apartment on her floor was empty, the lack of visitors and seclusion went unobserved. Authorities mentioned that electricity in her apartment had been disconnected at about the same period since she owed bills, and this probably led in keeping people unaware about the death.
Police sources said that food in the house was of a month’s duration, with jars rusted and expired food still remaining in the kitchen. This aligns with the estimated time of death, and investigators believe Humaira must have died immediately after her last known public activity.
Humaira Asghar appeared in the reality show Tamasha Ghar and featured in the 2015 movie Jalaibee. She also described herself as a theatre artist, an artist, and a fitness enthusiast, with more than 700,000 fans on Instagram. Her last social media update was September 30, 2024.
