About Dhurandhar 2 In Pakistan
In recent events, Pakistani journalist Khalid Mehmood Khalid shared a video of the film being played at his Home screen on X (Previously Twitter). He wrote, “Watching Dhurandhar 2 in Lahore.” Pakistan’s establishments like ISI tried blocking Dhurandhar as soon as its release in India in December 2025. But in the digital world, their efforts remained unsuccessful. As per IANS, there has been about 2 million illegal downloads of the Ranveer Singh film as per reports in just two weeks. It has now become the most pirated film there surpassing films like 2.0 and Raees. This ban cost the makers of Dhurandhar around Rs 50-60 crores.

Sindh’s Senior Provincial Minister for Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon, had earlier responded on X, criticising the Indian film Dhurandhar as negative propaganda against Pakistan, particularly misrepresenting Lyari. He emphasised that Lyari is defined by its culture, peace, talent, and resilience, and mentioned that an upcoming film titled Mera Lyari would aim to present a more accurate and positive image of the area, highlighting its peace, prosperity, and pride.
