Conan O’Brien hosted the Academy Awards 2026. He began the ceremony with a monologue in which he made a joke about Timothee Chalamat’s remark about ballet and opera. The reaction of Marty Supreme star is now gaining attention on social media. Conan O’Brien said that there was high security at the venue, and joked that he was informed about an attack by ballet and opera communities as they were mad about Jazz being excluded from the list. This comment made the audience gag, and the camera immediately turned to capture Timothee Chalamat’s reaction to this. He was seen laughing, smiling and nodding to the comment. His girlfriend, Kylie Jenner sat next to him.
What Was The Controversy ?
For the unversed, during an interview by Variety and CNN, Timothee Chalamat commented on the state of ballet and opera, and said that he did not want to be working for that as nobody cared about them anymore. He received severe backlash from both the communities, and was bashed on social media. Many fans also seemed to be disappointed at the actor’s demeaning comment. However, there was no official statement from the Marty Supreme actor.
