According to The Mirror, lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling observed that Timothée Chalamet allegedly asked his sister, Pauline, to go easy on Kylie Jenner. During a brief moment at the awards, Timothée was seen asking his sister where she was sitting, to which she pointed to her seat. Kylie Jenner, who looked emotional, reached out to shake her hand and seemingly praised Pauline’s outfit. They get into a hug before the siblings pose for pictures together.

As per the lip reader, after asking his sister how she was, Chalamet allegedly whispered, “Could you go easy on her?” Pauline answers, “Okay,” before he repeats himself, “I want you to go easy on her.” Many on the internet believed that this might have been the first time that Kylie was meeting her boyfriend’s sister. To this, many wrote, “Pauline hates all the things the Kardashians stand for… so I’m sure it’s the first time meeting,” and “Did they ever meet before? It‘s giving Nice to meet you.”
