The Cottage Suit area in Katra, where the group allegedly drank wine, has tight prohibitions against non-vegetarian food and intoxicants because of its proximity to the Vaishno Devi shrine, one of Hinduism’s holiest pilgrimage sites. A Reasi Police official told Times Now that a special squad, led by SP Katra, Dy SP Katra, and SHO Katra, was constituted to probe the matter.
All accused persons, including Orry, will receive notices instructing them to cooperate with the investigation. SSP Reasi has reaffirmed that anyone who violates the law, particularly by consuming alcohol or drugs at sacred sites, will face serious consequences.
